The oldest and healthiest people in the world live in Okinawa, Japan.
Their social structure is founded on a peculiar support system,

a life-sharing networks known as MOAI.

Being a member of this networks, you spend your entire life

believing in and being a part of something significant.

The greater good that comes from not merely the individual, but the whole.

MOAI is made up of people that share a life together.

They meet regularly, they discuss, they make jokes.

They benefit from mutual exchanges and collaboration.

MOAI is an extended family;

they have each other's backs.

They help each other

and work through things together.

You can be vulnerable

without any fear of judgment.

You can trust people enough

to let yourself feel safe.

You know that whatever your shape

or condition may be, you "are".

Because there is a place and a time you belong to.

This is MOAI.

MOAI is a seven-piece indie folk band formed in 2018, an ambitious project conceived by Valentina Comelli and Matteo Mantovani.

Their original songs find their roots in the folk American songwriting tradition, independently explored to find the most intense and genuine sound. The result is a marriage of music that combines a modern language with free creativity, giving space to explosive roots-rock, acoustic ballads with an Irish flavor and moments of pure musical improvisation.

On Jan 30, 2020 MOAI released their first single "September" (official video on youtube).

The band is semi-finalist at International Songwriting Competition with "My darling child" (unpublished and folk / singer-songwriters category).

On May 22, 2020 the band released their debut album "MOAI", recorded at BLUEFEMME STEREOREC  in August, 2019.

Moai's live concert is a an exchange with the audience: a journey of music, words and short stories in an intimate and energetic atmosphere.
